This test measures what modern psychologists consider to be the five fundamental dimensions of personality. With an accessible vocabulary, The Big 5 identifies specific trait patterns of thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is intended to give participants a general idea about how their personality might be described, to stimulate them to think about the implications for their work and personal life, and to acquire skills in areas such as team building, communication, leadership, and mentoring.
Personality traits affect work, health, relationships, goals, achievements, and professional success. Our whole life is affected both positively and negatively by them, so it is useful to understand how they change over time. This new instrument replaces commonly-used tools such as DISC and MBTi, which are no longer in tune with psychology’s current approach to measuring and teaching personality traits.
